Garden Update

Here is another small update of the garden...

We have more lettuce than we can possibly consume! It is only Butterhead varieties and they have done remarkably well in our raised beds. These are three different patches of lettuce we have growing:

Butterhead Lettuce / Lactuca sativa var. capitata

This is the oldest patch and it is all grown back after we snipped off most of it a while back.

We have started to harvest by pulling out the whole head of lettuce.

We will save some of the lettuce heads so they can flower and I can collect seeds. This 'Buttercrunch' variety is already shooting up.

More things are growing nicely. In particular, some of our volunteer pumpkins (totally guessing but I think they are) are getting quite big!

This one has big golden blossoms already!

And lastly, I am steadily making my way through the carrot patch. These are some of the big beauties I pulled today!
