Two years ago we bought a small cherry tree that was barely more than a twig... It is still small, but now it is producing some tart fruit for us! I tried a handful yesterday and they were delicious.
It is a semi-dwarf combination cherry that has three different varieties grafted onto one main trunk. The one we planted supposedly MAY have Sweetheart, Tieton, Lapins, Bing and/or Rainier.
I believe the ones that are ripe at the moment are of the Rainier variety.
I can't wait to see what other kinds ripen as the season progresses!
