We planted this Liatris spicata in our flower bed last year and it is in full bloom right now. The purple color is very attractive and in the evening light it is almost electric!
Liatris spicata is also known as Gayfeather, Blazing Star, or Snakeroot.
I can see why it is called Blazing Star...
The bees love it too! This is another Vosnesensky Bumble Bee!
